Description |
This picture of the Triangle area of Perry in 1908 shows how Second Street did not go straight through. A jog had to be made to reach South Second Street. The Old Dutch Cleanser sign was painted on the back wall of the Moody building clearly visible when the hotel was being renovated. Moody had erected his building in Sept. 1907. E.N. Childs put up a brick structure for a blacksmith next to Moody's harness and implement business. Both are still standing though the Carpenter and Murray buildings next to the former First National Bank have given way to progress. This box is located in the basement vault at the Town/Craft building. |
